![]() Ernest was the youngest child of Alfred Griffiths. His elder brother and sister were Allen and Gladys. He also had a younger brother Reginald who died as an infant. Ernest was born in Norwich, grew up in Catford and married at the age of 21 in Woolwich. He served in the Scottish Command during World War 2. After the war he became a Director of H L Arnes & Co, Regent Street, London. He travelled abroad on business regularly and was a very successful Director of the Company. Earning a bonus on 19 December 1947 of £300. Tragically Ernest contracted TB on one of his many business trips abroad. This in turn caused his death sometime later at the age of 46. |
